Annett Throws Seven Touchdowns as CdM Cruises Past Tesoro, Score 47-8 (2025)

Las Flores – Titan Stadium (THS)

Corona del Mar continued their perfect season in dominant fashion Friday night, cruising past Tesoro 47-8 in another statement victory for one of Orange County’s top programs. The Sea Kings were sharp from the opening whistle, shaking off an early Tesoro score to pour in 47 unanswered points, led by an electric performance from senior quarterback Brady Annett.

Annett was nearly flawless once again, completing 18 of 25 passes for 319 yards and seven touchdowns, tying a program single-game record for touchdown passes. He displayed poise, precision, and leadership in the pocket, spreading the ball to multiple receivers while maintaining complete control of the offense.

The chemistry between Annett and senior wide receiver Garrett James was unstoppable all night. James hauled in five catches for 178 yards and four touchdowns, setting a new career high for scores in a single game. “Garrett and I have been building this connection since the offseason,” Annett said after the win. “We both see the field the same way, and that trust makes everything flow.”

Dorsett Stecker also had a standout night for the Sea Kings, catching eight passes for 85 yards and two touchdowns, while JJ Haley added one more score on a 10-yard reception in the third quarter.

After Tesoro opened with a successful two-point conversion to take an 8-0 lead, CdM’s offense erupted for 34 points in the first half, highlighted by big-play strikes and a relentless passing attack. By halftime, the game was all but decided, as the Sea Kings led 34-8 and showed no signs of slowing down.

Defensively, Corona del Mar’s front seven applied constant pressure and kept Tesoro’s offense in check for the final three quarters, holding the Titans scoreless after the opening drive.

With the win, CdM improved to 9-0 overall, maintaining their unbeaten streak and asserting themselves as one of the top CIF-SS title contenders. Next up, the Sea Kings will face Yorba Linda on Thursday night, while Tesoro (3-6) looks to bounce back in a rivalry matchup against San Juan Hills.
