Creason Sharp as Los Alamitos Powers Past Calabasas on the Road, Score 48-21 (2025)
Los Alamitos – John Barnes Field (LAHS)
Los Alamitos continued its perfect season with a 48-21 road win over Calabasas on Friday night, leaning on a powerful run game and a dominant first-half surge.
The Griffins (7-0) piled up 541 total yards of offense, including 245 on the ground and 296 through the air. Quarterback Colin Creason was sharp, completing 17 of 19 passes for 296 yards and three touchdowns while also adding a rushing score. His accuracy and decision-making kept the Coyotes’ defense on its heels all night.
The ground attack was led by Kamden Tillis, who broke free for a 75-yard touchdown run and finished with 186 rushing yards and two scores on just 14 carries. Lenny Ibarra added two rushing touchdowns and was equally dangerous in the passing game, hauling in three touchdown catches to finish with four total scores.
Los Alamitos seized control quickly. After Tillis’ 5-yard touchdown run opened the scoring, Ibarra added a short run and a 9-yard reception from Creason to help build a 20-7 first-quarter lead. The Griffins poured it on in the second quarter with three more touchdowns, highlighted by Tillis’ 75-yard sprint and Ibarra’s 39-yard touchdown reception. By halftime, Los Alamitos was up 41-14.
Calabasas (3-3) did manage some offensive highlights. Running back Kayne Miller rushed for 125 yards and a 54-yard touchdown, while quarterback Dominik Hardy threw for 203 yards and two touchdowns. But the Coyotes couldn’t keep pace with the balance and explosiveness of the Griffins’ attack.
Defensively, Los Alamitos was anchored by Ibarra, who contributed seven tackles and two tackles for loss. Linebackers Logan Moore and Josh Renger also added sacks to keep pressure on Hardy throughout the contest.
The Griffins closed the scoring in the third quarter on Ibarra’s 17-yard touchdown reception from Creason before Calabasas found the end zone once more in the fourth.
Now 7-0, Los Alamitos heads into its Alpha League schedule after back-to-back bye weeks, opening against Edison on Oct. 16 in what will be a highly anticipated matchup.
