Dana Hills Offense Explodes for 49 Points Against Fountain Valley in Foxtrot League Victory, Score 49-13 (2025)
Dana Point – Spencer Stadium (DHHS)
Dana Hills stayed perfect on the season with a commanding 49–13 win over Fountain Valley on Friday night, improving to 8–0 overall and 3–0 in Foxtrot League play. The Dolphins dominated on both sides of the ball, with quarterback Carter Anderson throwing five touchdown passes and running back Radley Geiss adding two scores on the ground.
From the opening series, Dana Hills imposed its will. Geiss powered in from two yards out to cap off the game’s first drive, and the Dolphins never looked back. Geiss struck again early in the second quarter with another short touchdown to make it 14–0. Anderson then found James Leicester on a 15-yard pass for his first touchdown of the night.
Fountain Valley responded with a 10-yard touchdown pass to trim the deficit to 21–6 after a missed PAT, but the Dolphins’ high-powered offense answered immediately. Anderson connected with Jack Norman on a 69-yard bomb to push the lead to 28–6 and later hit Leicester again for a 10-yard touchdown to extend it to 35–6 by halftime.
In the third quarter, Dana Hills continued to pour it on. Anderson delivered a perfectly placed pass to Aiden Desormiers for a 10-yard touchdown, and the Dolphins’ defense stifled the Barons’ attack throughout. Early in the fourth, Anderson capped his brilliant performance with a 30-yard touchdown strike to Ryan Murphy, putting the Dolphins up 49–6. Fountain Valley added a late touchdown for the final 49–13 scoreline.
Anderson finished with five passing touchdowns, spreading the ball around to four different receivers. Leicester’s consistency continued as he hauled in two touchdowns, while Norman, Desormiers, and Murphy each added one. Geiss’s balanced performance — two touchdowns and key runs between the tackles — kept the Dolphins’ offense unpredictable and explosive.
Head coach Tony Henney praised his team’s focus after the win.
“Preparation has to stay the same,” Henney said. “We’ve got to treat all opponents with respect, and the most important thing is that we keep getting better. Complacency is the enemy.”
The win sets up a highly anticipated Foxtrot League title clash between Dana Hills (8–0, 3–0) and Laguna Beach (8–0, 3–0) next Friday night — a battle of unbeatens that will likely determine the league champion. Fountain Valley will turn their heads toward a non-league home match up against Northwood on Thursday.
