Griffins Dominate Narbonne as Ibarra, Tillis, and Eligon Shine in 47-0 Win (2025)

Los Angeles – Gaucho Stadium (NHS)

Los Alamitos rolled to its third straight win to start the 2025 season, overwhelming Narbonne 47-0 on Thursday night. The Griffins dominated all three phases of the game, racing out to a 40-point halftime lead and never looking back.

Quarterback Colin Creason wasted no time setting the tone, hitting Lenny Ibarra for a 75-yard touchdown pass on Los Al’s opening drive. Minutes later, Braiden McKenna added a 5-yard touchdown run to give the Griffins a 14-0 lead after the first quarter.

The second quarter turned into a showcase of explosive plays. Sophomore running back Kamden Tillis broke free for a 50-yard touchdown sprint, followed by Ibarra’s electric 50-yard punt return score. The defense joined the fun as senior Hunter Eligon scooped up a fumble and raced it back for another touchdown. Creason then capped the half with a 46-yard keeper into the end zone, pushing the lead to 40-0 at the break.

Los Alamitos cruised in the second half, with backup quarterback Jackson Lappin punching in a 4-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter for the final margin. The Griffins outgained Narbonne 234-6 in total yards, holding the Gauchos without a single passing yard and just six rushing yards on 37 carries.

Ibarra was once again everywhere for the Griffins. He finished with 77 receiving yards, a touchdown catch, a punt return touchdown, and went 5-for-5 on extra points. Tillis added a pair of long runs, giving him four rushing touchdowns across Los Al’s first three games.

Defensively, Eligon stood out with a fumble return touchdown and an interception, while lineman Luke Moore added a sack. The Griffins forced two turnovers and limited Narbonne to just five first downs all night.

The victory pushed Los Alamitos to 3-0 and continued their rise in the state rankings. It also marked their second consecutive game scoring over 30 points while pitching a shutout, after last week’s dramatic win over Kapolei in Hawaii.

Head coach Ray Fenton praised his group’s maturity and execution, noting the senior-heavy roster continues to set the standard. The Griffins will look to keep their momentum going when they travel to face Serra on Friday, September 5.
