Mansouri Drops Twenty-Three and Corona del Mar Closes Out Los Al With a 76-54 Win

Ryan Mansouri went 5-for-9 from three-point range and finished with 23 points, and Corona del Mar never let Los Alamitos get closer than five as the Sea Kings pulled away to a 76-54 win.

The first half was controlled but not flashy. CdM built a five-point lead after one quarter, with Mansouri doing most of the early damage from the perimeter. Oliver Nakra ran the offense efficiently — he’d finish with 5 assists — while Maxwell Scott did the dirty work inside. CdM took a 38-26 lead into the half, outscoring Los Alamitos 21-14 in the second quarter.

Los Alamitos had its best stretch in the third, briefly cutting into the deficit by outscoring the Sea Kings 17-14. But CdM answered in the fourth and made it decisive. The Sea Kings opened the final frame on a 24-11 run that shut the door completely. Scott finished with a double-double — 13 points and 10 rebounds — while also dishing out 6 assists. Luke Mirhashemi added 12 points on 3-of-5 shooting and matched Scott’s 6 assists. Nolan Scott came off the bench and contributed 3 steals in a quiet but sharp outing.

Four Sea Kings finished in double figures: Mansouri with 23, Nakra with 16, Maxwell Scott with 13, and Mirhashemi with 12. That kind of balance makes CdM hard to scheme against — and it’s exactly what carried the fourth quarter against Los Alamitos.
